What's In Your Suitcase?

Oh happy day, it is Thursday! This weekend, I'm hitting the road to spend a few days with boyfriend. Naturally, I make a big deal about what I pack in my suitcase. A place for everything, and everything in it's place! I tend to take my entire closet with me, it's just what I do. My entire car has to get cleaned out, and everything is neatly packed inside. My OCD mind takes over. I take this all very seriously, people.

Listed below are items that I generally pack whenever I travel. Unless it's to the islands of Fiji, in which case I take all maxi dresses and sandals. :)

1. A dress that's perfect for any occasion. You never know when you'll need one! Whether it's your LBD or a bright and cheerful one, it will be worn at some point.

2. A pencil skirt. ALWAYS. A pencil skirt can be dressed up or down, and worn with most tops.  I usually take my black one, because a black skirt is just a smart piece to take. But since I've expanded my pencil skirt collection, I will probably take a colored one.

3. Neutral colored heels. To save room, I pack shoes that can be worn with a couple different outfits. But let's be honest, on my way out the door I will probably grab a couple more pairs that I know I'll "need". :)

4. A versatile purse. With all the purses I have, I hate to take more than two on a trip. I grow weary of having to switch everything out, so I try to take something that is presentable
 for any occasion.

5. A blazer or cardigan for the evening. You can wear these with a multiple tank tops or over dresses. Either way, they work out fabulously.

Among all the other little things I pack, I will always have these five items.

What do you pack when you're going on a trip? What are your staples? I want to know!

Happy Thursday!

xo,
Stefanie

On a side note, I am guest posting over at MoMoMod tomorrow! Be sure to check it out! :)

  1. I always take
    1. a black pencil skirt (versatile, easy to pair with other items, hides stains should I get it dirty and not have access to a washing machine)
    2. comfy flats for walking/driving
    3. long sleeved cardigan that can be worn as a coverup or a top
