What I Wore to a Wedding

Last weekend a good friend of Dustin's got married. It was a lovely wedding, and this is the dress I wore. I love the color and the cut, and I thought it worked well for such a happy occasion. Confession: I have no idea who this dress belongs to. There are five girls that unintentionally share closets (best part of being a girl), so I am left a bit confused as to who is the true owner. Whatever, I have it now. ;)

Belt, Target
Shoes, F21

I always have trouble finding an outfit that's wedding appropriate. My go-to is unfortunately something black, and as you can see, I still had to throw a little of that in. I was comfortable for the evening though, and that is what matters most.

Also, my boyfriend made the cutest groomsman evah!

 Happy Wednesday!

xo,
Stefanie

  3. Vintage? Love! I always struggle with what to wear to weddings and I ALWAYS end up wearing black. *hangs head* This spring, though, I snagged some nifty vintage dresses, so I plan to sport them at some upcoming weddings. Yay!

  6. Wedding outfits really are so tough, aren't they?! I'm not really sure why, they just are. Especially if you don't know many details (as is often the case) about the overall tone of the ceremony and reception and even more so if you have to travel. I recently attended a wedding that took place at 5pm. I wasn't sure whether to go more day time or evening. The reception started at 6, so I split the difference and did very natural makeup with a sort of cobalt blue star burst print midi dress, minimal jewelry, and white sandals. I try to shy away from black for a wedding, though I know it's kind of the wedding uniform for a lot of people. Looking around seeing everyone wearing it makes me think of funerals and it brings me down.

  7. @Rachel

Exactly! I obsess over details when dressing for a wedding. I also want to make sure that I'm not wearing the same colors of the wedding party. That has happened a couple times. Lol. This wedding started in the afternoon and I knew we wouldn't be leaving until evening, and the worry wart in me took over. Sounds like your outfit was perfect! :)
