What I Wore Sunday

This Sunday I was inspired by a picture on Pintrest, that just happened to be Marilyn Monroe. Although she was a beautiful woman, I generally try to emulate a more modest appearance than she did. ;)

My inspiration:

My recreation:

I wore a vintage button up blouse (thrifted find!), a high waisted skirt, and red peep toe heels. I'm not a huge belt person, so that part I skipped. My hair was also vintage inspired, you can see a hair tutorial here.

This is really the first time I have mixed any type of patterns, and I think it turned out okay. Risk taker is my middle name guys. Anyway, I'm working on wearing more patterns, I've always been a solid color type of gal!

Whatcha think? Do you mix patterns?
I'll soon be sharing a couple of amazing thrift shops I found over this last Saturday!

Hope you had a good weekend!

xo,
Stefanie

  2. I JUST emailed AMGilliam about a possible thrift store hop in the bay area before the summer is over! Will you share your AMAZING thrift stores? hehe

I love how mixing prints looks on other people, but I mix subtly (shoes/purses/accessories). One day I shall jump into the print mixing pattern head first!
